Methods to stay drug-free

We strive to make long-term differences in the lives of the students and participants in our programs. While it's difficult to achieve and even harder to measure, the ability to change a child's life for the better and to keep that person healthy and free of drugs is what drives us.

How do we go about achieving this goal?

Common to all of our programs is the development of an understanding of life-skills. This helps participants to recognise and deal with their feelings, to set realistic and attainable goals, and helps them to develop their own problem-solving strategies. We also focus on an individual's unique learning style (known as Multiple Intelligence), which further helps them to understand their own learning process.

These tools aid participants to better interact with family, peers and teachers, and most importantly they enable them to shape their own future. Coupled with up-to-date information about drugs, we hope our actions will help our participants choose to remain drug free.

We have structured our programs around two modes of delivery:

  • Direct - via Face to Face programs both inside and outside school.
  • Mass - our large-scale events send out an awareness message to the greater community through coverage in traditional media.
