YCAB has worked with AJU to train some of the students of its Department of Psychology in counselling techniques that support YCAB's Mobile Counselling Program. Under the program, teams of counsellors are on hand at YCAB's campaigns and events to provide immediate fact-to-face counselling to students who wish to talk about the issues raised during the activities. This is a great opportunity for YCAB to get dedicated, highly trained and motivated volunteers, and gives students the chance to get first hand practical experience of working in the field. In total 130 students participated in the training and outreach programs. YCAB remains grateful for the assistance provided by Atma Jaya, and we hope to work together on similar programs in the future.
